What is reply rate?

Reply rate is the percentage of outbound messages that get any reply (positive, neutral, or negative). The cleanest single metric for outreach quality.

LinkedIn cold: 8–14% all-reply, 3–6% positive-reply. Cold email: 2–6% all-reply, 0.8–2% positive. Multi-channel: 12–22% all-reply, 5–9% positive.

Why all-reply matters as much as positive

Levers to improve reply rate
