What is a connection request?

A connection request is the message you send to add someone to your LinkedIn network. With or without a note, it's the most common B2B outbound channel on LinkedIn.

Weekly limit

LinkedIn caps roughly 100–200 connection invites per week per account, and the cap tightens for new or low-SSI accounts. Exceeding triggers warnings and eventual restrictions.

Note vs no-note

Counter-intuitively, recent data suggests no-note connection requests can have similar or higher acceptance rates than noted ones — when the recipient already recognizes you. With notes, brevity (under 50 words) and specificity dominate.

Withdrawals matter

Withdraw stale pending invites monthly. LinkedIn weights pending invite count into account health. 1,000+ stale pending invites is a known restriction trigger.
